PROJECT SCOPE

Daronmont Technologies has delivered the sixth and final communications band Direction Finding (DF) system to Lockheed Martin Canada, completing a three-year delivery program on budget and on schedule.  The Daronmont CommSECA Communication Detection Systems will be fitted to the Royal Canadian Navy’s six new Arctic/Offshore Patrol Ships – the first of which is due to be launched in 2018.

CommSECA is specifically designed and built by Daronmont for para-military or military applications using the latest in receiver and signal processing technology, and is especially suitable for monitoring SAR, illegal fishing activity, smuggling and piracy, and the security of Exclusive Economic Zones – perfectly suited for OPV programs like SEA1180.

Operating autonomously or with the guidance of an operator, CommSECA detects, intercepts and locates transmissions of interest for viewing on the operator’s Situational Awareness display,” he said. “Searching the communication band, CommSECA can passively track multiple transmissions, increasing your awareness and ability to respond quickly to illegal or life-threatening situations.”
