Augustus Okoye and Ian Newell join Daronmont at an exciting time in the company’s history as the business builds on a strong engineering pedigree and introduces exciting defence technologies for the future. Daronmont has a strong track record of employing high performing graduates, having introduced over 40 graduates to careers in the Australian defence industry since 1998. South Australian Government ministers the Hon Martin Hamilton-Smith MP, Minister for Defence Industries, and the Hon Susan Close, Minister for Higher Education and Skills, congratulated Daronmont for its ongoing commitment to employing local graduates.
Augustus Okoye completed an Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree at Adelaide University with an Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering. “The opportunity to work in my chosen field straight out of Uni is fantastic” he said when asked about working with Daronmont.
Ian Newell completed a Mechatronics Engineering degree at University of South Australia with an Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering at TAFE SA. Originally from Naracoorte in the states south east, Ian said he is “excited to work for a technologically focussed company that provides opportunity to further develop my abilities”.
