Daronmont is proud to have recently achieved IOC for an improved surveillance and training capability for Headquarters Integrated Area Defence System (HQIADS). HQIADS’ peacetime role is to train and coordinate FPDA forces for the joint defence of Malaysia and Singapore, while strengthening cooperation among members. It achieves this by developing common doctrines and procedures to improve interoperability, and by providing operational-level command and coordination. Headquartered at RMAF Butterworth in Malaysia, it integrates air, land, and maritime capabilities from Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the UK.
Working closely with HQIADS staff, Daronmont designed, developed, installed and commissioned a new C2 system to securely integrate multiple sensor inputs that will support IADS operations and training. Commander IADS, AVM Nathan Christie complimented the combined HQIADS/Daronmont team on the achievement of IOC, noting that “this project represents an important capability uplift for HQIADS and the close working relationship between HQ staff and Daronmont enabled IOC to be achieved on schedule.”
Daronmont will continue to develop the system through to FOC and provide ongoing sustainment support.
